Cracked Glass Design
Discover the art of stained glass and create your own beautiful panel! This 4-week extended beginner class introduces you to the fundamentals of the copper foil stained glass technique in a fun, hands-on setting.
Over four 3-hour classes, you’ll learn the basic steps involved in creating a stained glass panel from start to finish. We’ll guide you through pattern preparation, selecting and cutting glass, using a glass grinder to shape and refine pieces, fitting your pattern, and applying copper foil to each piece.
You’ll also learn the fundamentals of soldering, including how to create clean, secure seams, build up your solder lines, and finish your panel. Along the way, you’ll become familiar with essential stained glass tools, materials, safety practices, and basic techniques used by stained glass artists.
By the end of the course, you’ll have completed your own stained glass panel and gained the foundational skills and confidence to begin creating projects on your own.
No previous stained glass experience is required — just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
