Optics - Striped Fused Glass Dish Class
Learn a new glass fusing technique while making your own tableware in our Optics class! Using fusible glass in cool or warm colour ways, create a 6 inch square dish perfect for tapas or trinkets.
Learn how to combine and layer fusible glass to create a mesmerizing optical illusion! We'll walk you through design concepts like opacity, positive and negative space, and more to consider while building your patterns. You'll leave your prepared base with us to run through two fuses in the kiln. Pick up your piece and see how it's transformed into a beautiful piece of hand made art!
This is a beginner level class, with no previous fused glass experience required. For students who have fused before, learning this technique is a perfect way to expand your skillset!

We offer a variety of classes at all skill levels. Most of our offerings are beginner friendly, but those intended to develop existing skills are clearly labelled as "intermediate" or "advanced". Not sure what's right for you? Give us a call!
Classes include all materials, kiln firing, and project specific hardware. You'll be provided with everything you need to complete your project!
Closed toe shoes are a must for all activities in the studio space. While we do have aprons on hand, clothing that you're comfortable getting a little dirty and dusty is always recommended.
